The third generation of the CX-5, which debuted in 2012, inherits all the strengths of the previous generations and reinterprets them through a concrete evolution in terms of design, connectivity and performance, offering an unprecedented balance between aesthetics and functionality. The CX-5, after all, was the first Mazda to introduce Skyactiv technologies and the Kodo Design stylistic language, two distinctive elements that have always influenced the identity of the Japanese manufacturer. The design is, once again, one of the main distinguishing elements. Kodo Design, in fact, evolves the CX-5 into a cleaner and more essential form, with sculpted surfaces, more muscular rear wings and reflections along the sides that add depth to the car's silhouette.
The roominess is superior and the versatility of use expands
In addition, there is also a distinctive Signature Wing element between the front light clusters, which emphasises the design of the front, making it immediately recognisable, as well as offering a more decisive and distinctive character. The interior is also in line with the typical Japanese philosophy: essentiality, attention to detail and valorisation of empty spaces, for a cabin that transmits calm and balance. The new CX-5 increases in size with a length of 4.69 metres, 11 cm more than the previous generation, which translates into greater width and height, guaranteeing greater roominess and a boot capacity of 583 litres. On the versatility front, the car is suitable for use in the city, or on long journeys, up to more dynamic off-road use.
Under the hood is the 141 cc 2,500 cc combined with the mild hybrid
The availability of I-Activ AWD all-wheel drive, which monitors the car's behaviour up to 200 times per second, guarantees not only maximum stability, but also more safety.
