Following the start of the fifth ADAC Opel Electric Rally Cup powered by GSE, Opel renews its commitment to electric motorsport with the presentation of the 280 hp (207 kW) Opel Mokka GSE Rally prototype.
The first rally car according to the new FIA eRally5 regulations
.The Opel Mokka GSE Rally is the world's first rally car currently under development according to the FIA's new eRally5 regulations. The prototype could then be used worldwide in various customer sporting competitions starting with the 2026 rally season.
The new Opel Mokka GSE Rally retains much of its series-production styling and represents the next big step in electric rallying. It features yellow brake callipers at the front and yellow wheels at the rear, as well as other rally design accents. The roof features a clearly visible air intake and the black bonnet is engraved with the words 'Mokka GSE RALLY' in white and yellow.
The Opel Mokka GSE Rally has peak electric power of 207 kW (280 hp) and torque of 345 Nm, and the battery has a storage capacity of 54 kWh.
Designed for maximum efficiency
On a technical level, the engineers drew on the experience gained in the trophy with the electric Opel Corsa, as the fine-tuning of the engine and battery management software was designed to ensure maximum efficiency, drivability under racing conditions and performance.
