The new Opel Mokka GSE Rally retains much of its series-production styling and represents the next big step in electric rallying. It features yellow brake callipers at the front and yellow wheels at the rear, as well as other rally design accents. The roof features a clearly visible air intake and the black bonnet is engraved with the words 'Mokka GSE RALLY' in white and yellow.

The Opel Mokka GSE Rally has peak electric power of 207 kW (280 hp) and torque of 345 Nm, and the battery has a storage capacity of 54 kWh.

Designed for maximum efficiency

On a technical level, the engineers drew on the experience gained in the trophy with the electric Opel Corsa, as the fine-tuning of the engine and battery management software was designed to ensure maximum efficiency, drivability under racing conditions and performance.

A multi-disc limited slip differential and a racing gearbox, together with reinforced drive shafts and wheel hubs, provide powerful propulsion. The chassis has a lightweight design. The Bilstein rally suspension consists of reinforced McPherson struts and uniball mounts on the front axle, as well as a rigid rear axle with modified springs and dampers.

Opel Mokka GSE Rally: the next stage of development for electric rallies

The Opel Mokka GSE Rally therefore represents the next possible stage of development for all-electric one-make rallies. The Opel Corsa Rally Electric, used in the ADAC Opel Electric Rally Cup 'powered by GSE' proved to be a fast, reliable and safe electric rally car. The near-production technology, particularly for the high-voltage components such as the electric motor, inverter and battery, can effortlessly cope with the extreme demands of rallying. The same applies to the innovative charging infrastructure, with which Opel reliably supplies sustainable energy to the agile electric rally cars on site at all times.
