Maire: new orders for Nextchem totalling around 50 million euros
(Il Sole 24 Ore Radiocor) - Maire has announced new order wins within its Sustainable Technology Solutions business unit totalling approximately 50 million, with projects in Asia, Europe and North America. In particular, Stamicarbon, a subsidiary of Nextchem and a licensor of nitrogen technologies, will provide technology licences, process design packages and proprietary equipment for a new urea plant in Asia with a capacity of 3,500 metric tonnes per day, based on the proprietary Ultra-Low Energy design – one of the most energy-efficient urea technologies available on the market – enabling a significant reduction in steam consumption and operating costs compared to conventional urea processes.
Furthermore, Stamicarbon has been awarded a contract to supply proprietary equipment in Germany by SKW Stickstoffwerke Piesteritz GmbH, a German fertiliser manufacturer. Stamicarbon has also been awarded a contract for a process design package relating to a new urea plant in Canada. Furthermore, Nextchem has been awarded a feasibility study by a Turkish company specialising in integrated waste management and renewable energy for a mechanical plastic upcycling plant to be developed in Turkey. According to Fabio Fritelli, managing director of Nextchem, “these new orders confirm the value of Nextchem’s technology platform and proprietary know-how, as well as the confidence of clients across various geographical areas in our ability to support the efficiency, reliability and long-term performance of their industrial assets”.
