New Year's Eve shootings, Pozzolo sentenced to one year and three months
The MP, now in the mixed group, was instead acquitted of the charge of possession of war munitions

One year and three months' imprisonment with suspended sentence for illegal carrying of a weapon. This is the sentence for MP Emanuele Pozzolo, now in the mixed group but at the time of the events - i.e. on New Year's Eve 2024 - with Fratelli d'Italia, which expelled him a few days later.
This was decided by the Biella court, which acquitted Pozzolo of the other charge, i.e. possession of war munitions, because 'the fact does not exist'.
The shooting occurred at the headquarters of the Pro Loco in Rosazza, in the province of Biella, during a party at which the undersecretary for Justice, Andrea Delmastro, the agents of his escort and other local politicians were also present. During the evening, a gunshot from a mini-revolver from Pozzolo hit the son-in-law of the foreman, Luca Campana, in the leg.
The latter had also sued the MP for injuries, but decided to withdraw it last September, after having reached a financial settlement (with an amount that remained secret) with Pozzolo.
Therefore, the trial - which started with the prosecutor's request for one year and six months imprisonment - only covered the two technical aspects.
