New incentives for the purchase of zero-emission vehicles. The Ministry of the Environment and Energy Security has adopted the implementing decree regulating non-repayable incentives for the purchase of electric vehicles. The intervention is aimed at individuals and micro-businesses with residence or registered office in functional urban areas (cities with over 50,000 inhabitants and commuting areas). The initiative, financed with resources from the National Recovery and Resilience Plan, makes available EUR 597 million. The objective is to encourage the renewal of the circulating fleet with zero-emission vehicles, contributing to the reduction of urban pollution and the improvement of air quality. To access the contribution, it will be necessary to scrap a thermal vehicle up to Euro 5.
The target group of beneficiaries
.The incentive will be granted to individuals for the purchase of an electric car (category M1), with a contribution of €9,000 or €11,000 depending on the ISEE value; to micro-businesses, for the purchase of commercial electric vehicles (categories N1 and N2), up to a maximum of €20,000 per vehicle, up to a limit of 30% of the purchase price and in compliance with the 'de minimis' regulations.
How to apply
.Requests will be managed through a dedicated IT platform, developed by Sogei, which will allow the registration of beneficiaries, sellers participating in the initiative, and the generation of bonuses. The contribution will be disbursed in the form of a direct discount at the purchase stage. The operating procedures and the opening date of the platform for access to incentives will be communicated with a special notice on the institutional website of the Ministry: www.mase.gov.it.
