Next yacht group, order book rises to 100 million
The company enters the Top 20 of the Global order book for the first time in 15th place and aims at on-board Ai for the entire range in 2026
A 100 million euro order book and entry into the world's Top 20 yacht builders for the first time. These are the results achieved in 2025 by Next yacht group, the Viareggio-based shipyard that combines the Ab yachts and Maiora brands. According to the company's top management, the year just past marked "one of the most significant phases in the industrial history" of the company.
The year 2025, says Giorgio Mattei, group vice-president, 'stands out for concrete and measurable results, achieved extremely quickly for the nautical sector, which confirm the solidity of Next and the validity of the growth strategy undertaken. We have worked on a new positioning and a distinctive brand identity and initiated high-profile strategic collaborations, including the partnership with couturier Elie Saab. Then, for the first time in its history, the company entered the global Top 20 yacht builders' list in the Global order book, reaching 15th place, with 19 units, including yachts under construction and delivered in the period September 2024-September 2025, for a total of 635 metres, a sharp increase compared to the previous year. The business plan for the next three years will allow us to grow further, with new models, strategic partnerships and expansion of production units from 2026 onwards."
Giacomo Benelli, chief sales officer of the group, recalls, in turn, that "in recent years Next has recorded extraordinary growth, strengthening its international presence and renewing the Maiora and Ab yachts brands. During the year just ended, the group recorded an order book of more than 100 million euros, finalised 10 sales, flanked by six variants, four deliveries and the launch of four new projects: Ab 110s, Maiora M|30, M|38 and 42 Exuma".
Finally, the company's top management recalls, '2025 was also the year of a technological breakthrough with the launch of the Next Ai integrated system, the first proprietary artificial intelligence platform to be fully integrated and installed on board. The system equips vessels with a 'local brain', capable of autonomously managing all on-board functions, without relying on an internet connection and setting a new standard for innovation in the sector. Next Ai integrated system will be available for the shipyard's entire range from 2026.
