Nissan Juke, here is the third series: it is electric and the styling is decidedly original. It will arrive in 2027
The Japanese brand has announced its electrification strategy for the European market at the centre of which will be the new Juke, for the first time also offered in a battery-powered version.
Nissan has previewed the third generation of its iconic Juke crossover that will be 100% electric for the first time. Built on the CMF-EV platform and produced in Sunderland in the UK, it will debut on the European market during 2027, probably in the spring, alongside the updated version of the current hybrid model.
The Juke EV is part of a range of battery-powered vehicles previewed at Nissan's Vision event held at the brand's global headquarters in Japan. The electric Juke will share many technical solutions with the Leaf EV, which is also produced in the UK. The other details of the new Juke have not been confirmed for now, but it is expected to take a lot from the Leaf, so the electric version should use a 52 kWh or 75 kWh nickel-manganese-cobalt battery for a range of over 600 km. Power should reach 215 hp and drive will be on the front wheels. The new electric Juke will fit into a growing European electric vehicle line-up that also includes the new battery-powered Micra, the Leaf, the restyled Ariya crossover and the commercial Townstar, as well as a new A-segment EV model that is on the way. Alongside the electric vehicle range, Nissan will continue to offer e-Power hybrid technology, which offers a driving experience similar to electric, but without the need to recharge the battery.
