Norway: Seven years and seven months demand for Marius Borg Høiby, son of Princess Mette-Marit
The Crown Princess' son is accused of numerous crimes, including rape and drug trafficking, with an ongoing trial in Oslo that has attracted much public attention.
The Oslo public prosecutor's office demanded a sentence of seven years and seven months in prison for Marius Borg Høiby, son of Norway's Crown Princess Mette-Marit, who appears in hundreds of the so-called Epstein files, and businessman Morten Borg, with whom she had a brief affair.
The stepson of the heir to the throne, Crown Prince Haakon, Høiby faces 38 counts with a total sentence of 16 years in prison.
The charges include rape, abuse in an intimate relationship against a former partner, acts of violence against another person and transporting 3.5 kilos of marijuana.
Other charges include death threats and traffic violations.
The 29-year-old admits some of the crimes, but denies the most serious charges, including the rape of four women who could not resist.
