by the editorial team of Plus24
The Italian pension system is threatened by a low birth rate and a reliance on general taxation which has been growing over the years but which cannot rise indefinitely. In order to guarantee themselves an adequate pension, workers have the option of allocating their savings to supplementary pension funds but only a third of them have made this choice. What is holding back take-up? And why is complementary pension provision still off the radar of those aiming to build a peaceful old age? We talk about this with Anna Vinci of Ciao Elsa and Paolo Pellegrini deputy general manager of Mefop. In the studio, journalist Marco lo Conte.
The event is part of the educational campaign that Il Sole 24 Ore offers readers to face the main challenges of family life with awareness and preparation and is part of the Month of Financial Education organised by the Ministerial Committee for the planning and coordination of financial education activities.
