Now Leolandia targets teenagers with new rollercoaster

It is called Reveяsum and it is the new roller coaster at Leolandia, the amusement park in the province of Bergano that now wants to attract teenagers as well with the arrival of some thrilling attractions that are the result of a three-year investment plan worth over 30 million. Today the inauguration of Reveяsum, a rollercoaster whose wagons rotate freely during the ride. An extra thrill that adds to the sensation of emptiness in the free falls, the speed and centrifugal force of the parabolic curves is thus combined with the unpredictability of the movement of the vehicles, doubling the adrenaline and making each ride different from the next. The result is one of the most adrenalin-pumping attractions in the panorama of family rides nationwide. With Reveяsum the celebrations for Leolandia's 55th anniversary kick off, which will come to life in July with a dedicated programme. The attraction completes the investment worth a total of 17 million euro for the development of the Crazy Circus area. At the same time, Leolandia has earmarked 10 million for the Dragons and Legends area - with water attractions and a playground for the summer season - and a further 7 million for the creation of an external technical area for production, maintenance and development activities.

"The history of this attraction goes back a very long way, ever since I took over the park in 2007, when I looked to the future and imagined where I wanted to go: to create a large theme park dedicated to families," said Giuseppe Ira, president of Leolandia. "Reveяsum is the first rollercoaster to be opened in Italia in the last ten years and brings the number of attractions with a strong adrenalin component in our park to ten. We expect a 10% growth in admissions by the end of the year. We have 55 years of history that tell of solidity and experience, and we continue to invest in the future and in the new opportunities that await us".

Having overcome the pandemic by relying solely on its own resources and without State aid, the park has launched a three-year development plan with the aim of expanding its target audience, accompanying the growth of families with proposals dedicated also to older children, up to 14 years of age. This will include Dragons and Legends, a themed area with attractions and water games, opened in 2024, and Crazy Circus, opened in 2025, with rides of greater impact such as Blade Storm and Deltaplanet, dedicated to more adrenalin-fuelled fun.

Reveяsum is the most impressive attraction built in the 55-year history of Leolandia: three times as long as the other rollercoasters already present in the park, it is ready to put even the most daring to the test. The solid design - guaranteed by excavations of up to 5 metres and 131 plinths to support the over 300 tonnes of weight - ensures stability and safety even during the most intense phases of the ride, confirming an approach that combines spectacularity, engineering rigour and safety. Similarly, the availability of two trains, with an hourly capacity of one thousand people, helps to optimise flows on the busiest days, to the benefit of the experience. This roller coaster was produced by Mack Rides, a German giant among the leading global manufacturers of attractions and owner of Europa-Park, a theme park located near Freiburg. Christian von Elverfeldt, CEO of Mack Rides, was also present at the inauguration, a presence that further strengthened the international value of the project and the link between the two companies. During the ceremony, von Elverfeldt presented Enrico Ira with a commemorative plaque, sealing the historical collaboration between Leolandia and Europa-Park.

The complete Crazy Circus attraction, a 20,000 square metre themed area inaugurated in summer 2025, brings the total number of adrenalin-pumping experiences in the park to ten. The result is a perfect balance between high-intensity proposals and attractions accessible even to the youngest visitors, within the perimeter of Leolandia's identity vocation: growing together with families, accompanying children and young people towards new thresholds of emotion. In line with the theming of Crazy Circus, Reveяsum is inspired by the aesthetics of travelling circuses: the wagons evoke historical convoys, while the station and the queue line are developed under a large 12-metre-high striped tent. In the fictional universe of Crazy Circus, where nothing is as it seems, the passengers become the protagonists of an acrobatic number, observed - with irony - by a group of tightrope walking monkeys animating the set design.
