Nvidia: CEO denies stop on OpenAI: 'Biggest investment ever'
Jensen Huang confirmed that Nvidia will continue to invest in OpenAI, which he described as 'one of the most important companies of our time'
The CEO of the American chip giant Nvidia, Jensen Huang, confirmed to the press the imminent arrival of a 'colossal' investment in OpenAI and denied rumours that there were internal doubts about the partnership with the leading company in generative artificial intelligence.
In Taipei, he responded to rumours published by the Wall Street Journal that Nvidia's plan, announced in September, to invest $100 billion in OpenAI had been put on hold. These funds should allow OpenAI, the company behind the ChatGPT chatbot, to build data centres for its next-generation artificial intelligence.
Citing anonymous sources, the Wall Street Journal reported that some members of Nvidia had expressed doubts about the deal and that both parties were reconsidering the partnership.
'This is completely absurd. We will make the biggest investment ever in OpenAI,' Huang assured reporters.
