Olivella brings the olive oil industry to skincare
This approach stems from a fully integrated supply chain, from cultivation to processing, and results in a proposal built around a single axis: the Mediterranean diet for the skin. Olivella, an Italia skincare brand, works on olive oil as the structural basis of a formulation system. At the basis of the project is a production platform that starts from over 500,000 cultivated olive trees - the largest organic olive grove in Italia - and arrives at the transformation of the oil into lipids and fatty acids also for cosmetic and pharmaceutical use.
Direct control of the raw material allows the ingredient to be worked on with a level of precision that is still uncommon in the skincare sector. The key step concerns the transformation of the oil. Through purification and stabilisation processes, the functional components - fatty acids, vitamins and antioxidants - are made compatible with the skin's physiology and usable on a continuous basis.
The brand is distributed in Italia in selected retailers such as La Rinascente and Douglas. This is flanked by an already structured international distribution, with an established presence in the United States, South Korea and Kazakhstan, as well as growing markets such as Hong Kong. In the United States, it is present through an articulated network that includes platforms such as FragranceNet, around 500 independent boutiques in New York, California and Florida, and media channels such as QVC and Good Morning America. In South Korea, one of the most advanced markets for cosmetics, Olivella is also distributed through players such as Lotte, while in Kazakhstan it has an exclusive presence in the MonAmie chain, a reference point for local beauty retail.
