The Omoda & Jaecoo brand is present at the 21st Shanghai International Automobile Exhibition for the second time, presenting its range of new energy vehicles (NEV): Jaecoo 5 bev and Omoda 7 SHS. But the real novelty is the Omoda 3 compact SUV, which is hitting a strategic and larger volume segment, that of electric and, for Europe, hybrid city-sized SUVs.
The presentation took place not at the Shanghai Motor Show, but on the same days at a show in Wuhu, where the Chery group, for two decades the leading exporting Chinese car group, is based.
The new Omoda 3, is, as mentioned, an electric, petrol and hybrid b-suv that fits into a competitive segment in the European market.
New Omoda 3: what it looks like and what we know
Omoda 3 is the first 'energy mecha' crossover (a reference to the aesthetics of giant robots typical of Japanese animation and science fiction) from the Chinese brand and shows innovations from an aesthetic and technological point of view, anticipating the arrival of a new 'energy mecha' styling trend in the automotive sector.
This is the first model based on the technical architecture that could be integrated with the LLM (large language models) of artificial intelligence and will thus have the fundamental ability to evolve: 'Born to evolve'.
