Omoda&Jaecoo's Super Hybrid (Shs) technology gets a makeover and gets on board the new Omoda 9 SUV, the flagship entering the D-Suv segment where premium brands dominate.
With a list price starting at 51,900 euro, the new Omoda 9 has been available at dealers since the end of May and is offered with one trim, two interior options and four body colours.
We tested it along the roads of Franciacorta, among vineyards and picturesque landscapes.
Growth and the new model
.Since the launch of Omoda&Jaecoo in Italy in July 2024, less than a year ago, 6,000 units have been sold in Italy and plans call for a new model in the B/C segment, the Omoda 3, to be introduced in 2026.
Returning to Omoda 9, the star of the test, we note generous dimensions: 4,779 mm long, 1,920 mm wide, 1,671 mm high and with a wheelbase of 2,800 mm. Luggage compartment capacity is 660 litres and reaches 1,783 litres by folding down the rear seatback.
