Giorgia Meloni's income for the 2024 tax year dropped by 278,000 euro to 180,031 euro, almost halved compared to the 459,460,000 euro of the previous year. And in the government, although some data are still missing, the 'richest' is the Minister of Justice, Carlo Nordio, with 259,716 euro declared to the IRS. Meloni, variation records purchase of villa at Torrino
For the premier, the snapshot reveals the 'definitive purchase of a new home as a first home': this is the villa she bought at Torrino, the subject of a parliamentary question by Maria Elena Boschi and Francesco Bonifazi (Italia Viva) tabled at the beginning of the year asking for clarity on the renovation work carried out, from urban planning permits to the transparency of payments and supplies. Triggered by an article in Il Fatto Quotidiano, the question also asked whether 'public funds or security resources were used for the renovation of the building' and to make public 'the list of suppliers and the payment methods, tax bonuses and deductions used for the work', with the aim of 'verifying transparency, fiscal consistency and the absence of favouritism'. Most recently, the villa hosted some government meetings on the financial manoeuvre for 2026.
For Tajani over EUR 30,000 more
If the incomes of the Lega Nordio's deputy prime minister Matteo Salvini are absent, those of the other deputy, Antonio Tajani, are public, who declares more than 30,000 euro more than last year, 187,673 euro in all. Among the other ministers, in addition to Nordio's income, the holder of the Mimit Adolfo Urso (126,340), the Minister for Health Orazio Schillaci (102,176), the Minister for Relations with Parliament Luca Ciriani (100,701) and the Minister for Disability Alessandra Locatelli (100,304) are above 100,000. The figure communicated by the Minister of the Economy, Giancarlo Giorgetti (99,623) is unchanged, slightly higher than the income declared by the Viminale's holder, Matteo Piantedosi (96,514).

Looking at the political leaders, the number one of Noi Moderati, Maurizio Lupi, rises from 124,864 euro to 224,683. In the centre-left, the documents relating to the Iv and M5s leaders, Matteo Renzi and Giuseppe Conte, have not yet been published, while the income of the Pd secretary, Elly Schlein, remains unchanged at €98,471. Above 100,000, instead, the leader of Azione, Carlo Calenda (122,285 euros) and also Angelo Bonelli of Avs (102,802), who slightly exceeds his colleague Nicola Fratoianni (98,979).
