There is only until 22 September to nominate your company for the Sustainable Enterprise Award, the Sole 24 Ore initiative in collaboration with the Pontifical Academy for Life and the Piccola Industria di Confindustria, aimed at Italian small and medium-sized enterprises. The initiative, now in its third year, aims to recognise the value of SMEs that have succeeded in implementing effective, sustainable solutions that benefit the community and that have distinguished themselves by respecting the values of sustainability in different areas, not just the environment. Companies can apply by choosing to compete in two of the five categories.

The Environmental Sustainability category includes innovations and virtuous processes with a positive impact on the environment, while Digital Sustainability looks at It technologies to generate positive impacts and spin-offs to improve the environment, economy and society. The Economic Sustainability category looks at virtuous processes to generate employment, maintain added value in the territory and promote lasting growth, giving sustenance to the territorial system. While the Social Sustainability category includes actions and innovations to achieve real equity in society, with a diversity of actions affecting the legal, economic and cultural spheres. Finally, the fifth category, new for the 2024 edition, is Inclusive Sustainability - Design for all, dedicated to projects for the realisation of environments, products, buildings and solutions usable by all people, including those with disabilities. For each category, a panel will select three winners who will be honoured during the Sustainability Forum, organised by Il Sole 24 Ore on 23 October in Rome. The jury is composed of chairman Fabio Tamburini, editor-in-chief of Sole 24 Ore, Radio 24 and Radiocor, Marina Brogi, lecturer at La Sapienza University in Rome, Teresa Caradonna, vice-president Esg and sustainable value of Piccola Industria Confindustria, Edoardo Garrone, president of Gruppo 24 Ore, Andrea Notarnicola, Global inclusion - art. 3, Monsignor Renzo Pegoraro, Chancellor of the Pontifical Academy for Life and Monsignor Dario Edoardo Viganò, Vice-Chancellor of the Pontifical Academy of Social Sciences.
