Opening ceremony of the 2026 Youth Games kicks off

Student delegations from all over Italia opened the second edition of the Youth Games in Piazza del Popolo in Rome: 6,000 students and teachers took part in the parade, greeted by the Minister for Education and Merit, Giuseppe Valditara, the Undersecretary for MIM, Paola Frassinetti, and the Minister for Sport, Andrea Abodi.

'We are excited,' said the two ministers, 'sport is commitment, fun, merit, positive competition'. Valditara recalled that for gyms in schools the government has committed 1 billion. Abodi assured the will to improve this initiative year after year, strengthening the alliance between schools and sport more and more.
