Operation by the Postal Police - coordinated by the Rome Public Prosecutor's Office - against the Russian hacker group Noname057(16), responsible since 2022 for thousands of attacks against government sites, public administration, public transport infrastructures, banking institutions, healthcare and telecommunications in several European countries, including Italy. The investigations, internationally coordinated by Eurojust and Europol, identified numerous members of the group and revealed who was behind the remote servers, Telegram accounts and cryptocurrency payments traceable to the crew. Five international arrest warrants were issued against Russian nationals, 2 of whom are believed to be leaders of the organisation. More than 600 servers in various countries were deactivated and partly seized.
