Palantir raises its revenue forecast thanks to strong demand from the US government
Innovations in AI and military partnerships are propelling Palantir towards a future of unprecedented growth
Palantir Technologies has raised its annual revenue forecast, citing strong demand for its data analytics software from government and commercial clients. The company’s shares rose by 8 per cent in after-hours trading. Palantir now expects annual revenue of between $8.150 and $8.158 billion, compared with its previous forecast of $7.650–$7.662 billion.
“Our business is growing at a pace and on a scale never seen before,” said Chief Executive Alex Karp in a letter to shareholders.
Modern warfare and geopolitical uncertainty have forced governments to invest in advanced defence technologies such as Palantir’s artificial intelligence-based battlefield software and Anduril’s autonomous drones.
Founded in 2003, Palantir offers tools such as its artificial intelligence platform (AIP) for deploying AI applications, Gotham for defence and intelligence operations, and Apollo for managing software deployments, helping government and corporate clients make data-driven decisions.
Anduril and Palantir are collaborating on the development of software for US President Donald Trump’s missile defence initiative Golden Dome, as reported earlier this year by several news outlets, including Reuters.
