(Il Sole 24 Ore Radiocor)- Airbus Group is racing on the Paris Stock Exchange after Bloomberg rumours of a maximum-order coming soon from China. The stock is also trading higher in Frankfurt.
According to the news agency, China is reportedly considering placing a maxi-order from Airbus. Bloomberg, citing unnamed sources close to the negotiations, said China is considering placing an order for hundreds of Airbus aircraft as early as next month, on the occasion of European leaders' visit to Beijing to celebrate the long-standing ties between the two sides. Negotiations are currently underway with Chinese airlines and the order could coveraround 300 aircraft, with an estimated possible volume b>between 200 and 500 aircraft, including both narrow-body and wide-body aircraft. Airbus declined to comment on the rumours and representatives of the Civil Aviation Administration of China also did not respond to requests for comment.
