Parochial schools, the voucher up to 1,500 euro arrives
New amendment to the manoeuvre: families with Isee up to EUR 30,000 will be eligible
Key points
Here comes the voucher of up to 1,500 euro for families who send their children to parochial schools. The new amendment to the manoeuvre provides for this. The measure is valid for 2026 and will benefit households with an Isee income not exceeding 30,000 euro. According to the MIM database, updated to 31 August 2024, the total number of pupils attending an affiliated school in Italy is 771,909.
The measure
The bonus will be recognised by the Ministry of Education and Merit, and will consist of a contribution of up to 1,500 euro per student attending an I grade secondary school or the first two years of a II grade secondary school, with the measure being determined according to scales inversely proportional to Isee income and, in any case, within the limits of the authorised expenditure (equal to 20 million euro for 2026).
The modalities of implementation
The modalities for the concrete implementation of the rule are postponed to a decree of the MIM to be adopted in agreement with the Minister of the Economy. The measure will also have to identify the limits of the contribution to be recognised to families, taking into account the sums recognised for the same purpose by the Regions.
