It is Nicola Fratoianni who is the most generous among the leaders who have made contributions to their parties in 2024, with 3,500 euro paid each month to Sinistra italiana. The lists of disbursements to political parties and movements registered in the national register are not yet definitive, because the obligation is to notify them within three months, but in this partial ranking the second place goes to Matteo Salvini, who until November guaranteed 30,000 euros to the League, in five tranches.
From the premier every month one thousand euro to FdI
The president of the M5s Giuseppe Conte has made transfers of 2 thousand euros every month, while Elly Schlein is at 21 thousand euros, with two payments of 6 thousand and one of 9 thousand euros to the PD. Premier Giorgia Meloni has paid one thousand euros every month to FdI, and Antonio Tajani 900 euros every month to Forza Italia. Angelo Bonelli, spokesperson for Green Europe, also chose payments every thirty days, of 1,800 euros. While the contributions of Matteo Renzi to Italia viva amount to 7,500 euro. No contributions to Action were received from Carlo Calenda. No disbursements from Riccardo Magi appear in the +Europa lists, as he has completely renounced his secretary's salary. Among the party bigwigs Emma Bonino stands out with 9,950 euros, slightly less than the 10,800 euros of Benedetto Della Vedova. Bruno Tabacci is instead the Democratic Centre's only contributor, with six transfers of 1,845 euros. Noi moderati requires only 500 euros from its parliamentarians, and a large contributor is the South American Union of Italian Emigrants, which has guaranteed 35,715 euros up to July.
The Berlusconi family
Donations can come not only from politicians but also from private citizens and companies. Forza Italia, for example, was supported again this year by the Berlusconi family (700 thousand euro in all), and among the large disbursements there is also the 100 thousand euro one from Morra Srl, a food and beverage wholesaler. There are several companies that support the League: they range from the electrical equipment sector to real estate, passing through fashion. Fifty thousand euros come from Blufin, the Blumarine group. Pier Luigi Loro Piana, the cashmere magnate, has instead supported Action with 25 thousand euros.
Association Agenda
.Also on the lists published by Parliament is the Agenda Association, which, after having received more than EUR 1 million between 2022 and 2023, again in 2024 benefited from EUR 100,000 from the Demokrati pluralism stiftelsen foundation of Swedish Daniel Sachs, vice-president of George Soros' Open Society Foundation.
