For CAV profit of 29.3 million, investments in safety and sustainability
More than 53 million vehicles (+2.11% compared to 2023) were recorded on the tolled sections of the Veneto motorway concessions

For CAV-Concessioni Autostradali Venete, the financial statements for the year 2024 closed with a profit of EUR 29.3 million. Revenues reached EUR 163.1 million with a gross operating margin of EUR 95 million. In particular, there was an increase in the cost of infrastructure maintenance and safety work and almost EUR 6 million to support research for Hyper Transfer, a project aimed at studying an alternative freight and passenger transport system and conducted on the basis of the memorandum of understanding signed in 2022 by CAV, the Veneto Region and the Ministry of Infrastructure and Transport.

The figures for the annual financial year were presented on Wednesday 14 May in Mestre at the company's shareholders' meeting (Veneto Region and Autostrade dello Stato), during which the board of directors was also renewed: Monica Manto as president, Maria Rosaria Anna Campitelli as CEO, Christian Schiavon, Lucio Tiozzo Fasiolo and Carlo Vaghi as directors.
Cash and cash equivalents as at December 2024 amounted to EUR 215.2 million (of which EUR 149.9 million was restricted). "A considerable amount of liquidity that expresses the Company's financial solidity," reads the note issued at the end of the meeting, "and its ability to meet its commitments, starting with the investments planned for the period 2025-2032 and amounting to 104.6 million, and maintenance, which is expected to weigh in the same period at 130.5 million. The Company's creditworthiness is also confirmed by the latest assessment of the Moody's rating agency, which, in January 2025, assigned CAV a Baa1 rating with a stable outlook, one of the best results issued by the agency to Italian companies.

In 2024, more than 53 million vehicles passed through the closed system operated by CAV (corresponding to the tolled sections), an increase of +2.11% compared to 2023. In the open system (toll-free sections), 31.5 million vehicles passed through, an increase of +1.55% over the previous year.
