Usa-Iran, se i due belligeranti dichiarano vittoria

Peugeot introduces the new Turbo 100 engine to replace the PureTech, which had shown serious problems, in particular, with the oil bath distribution system. The main problem lay in the contamination of the engine oil with fuel, which triggered serious damage to key engine components.
the Turbo 100 engine eliminates these problems with 70 per cent new components including key elements such as the timing chain, turbocharger, injection system, pistons and cylinder block as well as meeting Euro 7 emission standards. Still with three cylinders but 1,199 cc, the new engine delivers 101 hp and 205 Nm of torque.
while the variable geometry turbocharger provides engine response already at low revs, fuel consumption and emission control are ensured by direct injection with a pressure of 350 bar. The valve timing system, pop, reduces internal friction and the compression ratio improves efficiency. It is no coincidence that the Turbo 100 is guaranteed for eight years or 160,000 km.
The first models equipped with the new Engine 100 are the 208 from March and the 2008 from May. Both feature reduced maintenance with a single service every two years or 25,000 km plus an annual intermediate check-up. Motore 100 claims an average consumption of 5.1-5.2 l/100 km and emissions of 116-117 g/km, a speed of 195 km/h and a 0 to 100 km/n in 10.1 seconds.
