GDP: Orsini says Italia needs to grow by more than 2 per cent

“We need to grow by more than 2 per cent, and to do so we must take certain steps, starting with the tax system.” This was stated by the president of Confindustria, Emanuele Orsini, on the sidelines of the general meeting of the business associations of Cuneo and Piedmont. “We have 120 billion in tax expenditure; we have asked, in a spirit of responsibility, to identify at least 20 billion from those measures that overlap and may no longer be relevant, and to channel them into three areas: growth, healthcare and education.” We must also, he concluded, “continue with industrial policies that have a long-term vision; so the super-amortisation scheme is a good thing: we have asked for it to be extended to software and cloud services as well, because if we want to look to the future, that is where we must go, and we have been given assurances on this.”
