Norwegian photographer Sølve Sundsbø has been chosen to shoot the Pirelli Calendar 2026. Nature will be one of the central elements of the next "The Cal" which is currently being shot in London and will be presented in Prague in November.

"It is a great thrill to be part of the Pirelli Calendar," Sundsbø comments. "It's a dream I've nurtured for a long time and I feel honoured to follow in the footsteps of the great photographers who have gone before me. With the Calendar of 2026, I want to transport people into an unexpected world pervaded by poetry, sensuality and an intimate mystery. It is a reflection of my deep connection with nature, the awe it inspires in me and the need to tell stories. I look forward to sharing what I have created with everyone'.

Born in Norway 55 years ago, but active in London since 1995, where he attended the London College of Printing, Sundsbø has established himself as one of the world's leading image makers. He has taken some of the most memorable shots in recent years. The artist has earned respect for his uncompromising vision and the otherworldly concepts he tries to assert, often capable of challenging viewers' perception of reality. Sundsbø can be said to have pushed the evolution of language beyond the still image. The photographer is appreciated both for his versatility and openness to new technologies, from 3D scanning to hand retouching, and for the breadth of his style.
