The construction company Pizzarotti, in reference to the article "Mermec: We will continue to grow with the current control", published on the website of Il Sole 24 Ore on 11 September 2025, specifies the following: "The "cash" financial debt that Impresa Pizzarotti & C. Spa has at present with credit institutions amounts to approximately euro 320 million, while a "subordinated convertible bond loan" of euro 97 million has been contracted with Cassa Depositi e Prestiti. The amount of euro 1.8 billion indicated in the article therefore appears to be erroneous, notwithstanding the fact that for the purposes of correct debt recognition, signature lines cannot be considered, which, as is well known, do not entail a cash outflow or a repayment obligation and, at the same time, pertain to the normal operations of a construction company. It is no coincidence that they are not included in the net financial position of any company, nor among the liabilities, in accordance with the relevant accounting standards'.
With regard to the economic-industrial performance of the group, the financial year 2024 ended with the following results: approximately EUR 1.5 billion production (+25% compared to the financial year 2023); EUR 215 million Ebita (+61% compared to the financial year 2023); pre-tax profit of EUR 4.9 million.
