The Istituto Poligrafico e Zecca dello Stato (Ipzs) closed 2024 with a net profit of EUR 152.5 million, the best ever in its history. The balance sheet was approved by the Ministry of the Economy, the sole shareholder. Revenues increased to 613 million (+9% on 23), Ebitda was 231 million.

The institute, chaired by President Paolo Perrone and led by CEO Francesco Soro, will therefore pay out a dividend of more than EUR 144.88m to the MEF, the highest paid out in the institute's history (the entire profit minus the 5% share allocated to reserves).

Perrone: all key economic/financial indicators are up

'The balance sheet tells of a company in excellent health,' Perrone comments, 'all the main economic-financial indicators are clearly growing for the second year running. And this in spite of the negative effects of the loss of some business branches that are very important for the company, in particular that of legal communications in the Official Gazette'.

Soro moves to the Mef

The approval of the budget, the note adds, was also an opportunity to bid farewell to CEO Soro, who will take up his post at the Mef from today as Head of the Department of the Economy
