In the new 2025 edition of the QS Executive MBA Rankings, POLIMI Graduate School of Management consolidates its national leadership, confirming its 1st place in Italy thanks to its Executive MBA: the only Italian programme among the top 100 in the world. An acknowledgement that confirms the quality and international relevance of the programme, strengthened by significant progress in the parameters linked to students' managerial experience and post-graduation career results.
At European level, the School - part of the School of Management of the Politecnico di Milano - ranks 26th out of 72 ranked programmes, moving up two places from 28th in 2024, when there were also 66 programmes analysed, while at global level the School ranks 76th out of 215 business schools.
The confirmation
.Again this year, as in 2024, POLIMI Graduate School of Management's Executive MBA ranks first in Italy. Last year, there were four Italian schools in the rankings, but in 2025 the number increases to five, confirming POLIMI GSoM's leadership position on the Italian and international educational scene.
In particular, the indicators relating to students' professional experience and achievements after graduation stand out. The 'Executive Profile' indicator, which assesses students' work and managerial experience, is one of the School's strengths, as is 'Career Outcomes', which considers the average salary increase and the percentage of students who obtain a promotion within 12 months of the end of the programme. In fact, at a global level, POLIMI GSoM ranks 51st for Executive Profile and 59th for Career Outcomes, while at a European level the positions are even stronger: 22nd and 32nd. Looking at the scores obtained in the individual indicators, the data confirm this positive trend. Career Outcomes rises from a score of 66 in 2024 to 70.4 in 2025 and the Executive Profile rises from 69.5 to 75.5.
Among the sub-indicators, the full score obtained in the 'Graduates Promoted' area, which measures career advancement, is noteworthy, reaching 100 in 2025 (compared to 98.6 in 2024), as is the significant improvement in the figure for the average salary increase, which rises from 35.6 to 40.7. Excellent results were also achieved for average student work experience (80.3), C-suite experience (66.9) and managerial experience (79.7).
Educational Experiences of Excellence
"This result is the fruit of our daily commitment to designing training experiences of excellence, capable of accompanying managers on a path of solid, concrete and lasting personal and professional growth," said Vittorio Chiesa, president of POLIMI GSoM and Federico Frattini, dean of POLIMI GSoM. "Confirming ourselves first in Italy, in an even more competitive context than last year, and continuing to improve in key parameters globally, is for us a source of great pride and confirms the quality of our Executive MBA. The improvements recorded in areas such as student management experience and career advancement after the programme reflect not only the strength of our offering, but also the consistency with our purpose: to train leaders who are aware, responsible and ready to generate positive impact in organisations and society. We are determined to continue on this growth path, facing future challenges with openness, inclusiveness and an increasingly international outlook'.
