Professionals and reforms in the spotlight in Trento

The tax reform that started with the enabling act of 2023 and then developed into a series of delegated decrees including the one on cooperative compliance and the one on assessment with the tax pact. And also the reform of the public administration, which aims to lighten and make processes more efficient, working on training and pay gaps. Also thanks to the Pnrr funds.
The changing Italy, also through structural reforms, will be explored during the next edition of the Trento Festival of Economics, scheduled from Thursday 22 to Sunday 25 May.
The 20th edition of the event, which addresses the theme 'Risks and fatal choices. Europe at the crossroads', will host a panel dedicated to 'Fiscal reform: balance sheet and perspectives' with Lilia Cavallari, president of the Parliamentary Budget Office (UPB); Elbano de Nuccio, president of the National Council of Chartered Accountants and Accounting Experts; Eugenio Della Valle, professor at La Sapienza in Rome; Lorenzo Fronteddu, director of corporate affairs and communication at JTI Italia; and Maurizio Leo, deputy minister of Economy and Finance. The panel, moderated by Jean Marie Del Bo, deputy editor of Sole 24 Ore, will be held on 24 May at 2.15 p.m. at Castello del Buonconsiglio.
Another important event on the tax front will be the round table 'How to manage controls and conflicts', introduced by Vincenzo Carbone, Director General of the Revenue. Speakers, on 23 May at 9.15 a.m. in Palazzo Geremia, will include Giuseppe Gerli, inter-regional commander of north-eastern Italy of the Guardia di Finanza; Valeria Mastroiacovo, from the University of Foggia; Benedetto Santacroce, lawyer from Studio Santacroce; and Simone Zucchetti, partner of the firm Tremonti Romagnoli Piccardi e associati.
The panel 'Poor and damned work' (at Palazzo Geremia, 23 May at 4pm) will be dedicated to the theme of work and new professions. It will be moderated by Annarita D'Ambrosio, journalist for Sole 24 Ore, with Rosario De Luca, president of the National Council of Labour Consultants; Giampiero Falasca, partner Dla Piper; Paola Profeta, pro-rector for diversity, inclusion and sustainability at Bocconi; Stefani Scherer of the University of Trento; and Silvio Traverso of the University of Eastern Piedmont.
