Questore Torino, no church funeral for a 'ndrangheta boss
Funeral processions are also forbidden: burial, at the Chivasso cemetery, must take place privately
The Chief of Police of Turin, Massimo Gambino, has issued prescriptions for the funeral of Domenico Belfiore, the 'ndrangheta boss who died last Friday at the age of 73 in the hospital of Chivasso (Turin). The funeral will not be held in a church. The funeral procession is also forbidden: the burial, at the Chivasso cemetery, will have to take place privately. Belfiore had been definitively convicted as the instigator of the murder of Turin prosecutor Bruno Caccia, killed by a commando on 26 June 1983. He had never repented and the church funeral had caused controversy, including that of Don Luigi Ciotti, founder of Libera.
