Quirinale: names and motivations for the 'Alfiere della Repubblica' 2025 certificates

Today at the Quirinale, the President of the Republic, Sergio Mattarella, presented 28 'Alfiere della Repubblica' (Standard Bearer of the Republic) certificates of honour to young people who, in 2025, distinguished themselves for behaviour inspired by civic sense, altruism and solidarity. This was announced by the Quirinale. Supporting a comrade in difficulty, taking care of the environment, mobilising during an emergency: these are gestures that show how, for teenagers, solidarity represents an authentic way of feeling part of a community. It is a deep feeling of sharing, expressing a willingness to contribute to improving the conditions of those in a difficult or vulnerable situation.

'Experiencing and communicating solidarity' is the theme that inspired the choice of the young people honoured in this edition. Alongside the individual awards, President Mattarella wanted to assign four plaques dedicated to the theme of inclusion, with the aim of highlighting collective actions that represent a concrete example of cooperation, mutual respect and active participation.

The ceremony, hosted by journalist Gabriella Facondo, was opened by President Mattarella's speech. Here are the motivations for the certificates of honour awarded by the Head of State:
Emanuele AMODIO, 31/7/2007, resident in Ostuni (BR) - For the naturalness and strength of his friendship with a fellow disabled person. His commitment is an example of how small everyday gestures can achieve inclusion and grow solidarity.
Antonio BERTOLI, 7/7/2013, resident of Brescia - For his commitment to a project dedicated to children with autism spectrum disorder. A testimony of concrete solidarity, a source of inspiration for many peers.
Noa Thuy BERTUCCIOLI, 3/8/2008, resident in Urbino - For the mature commitment with which she translates the values of the association in which she works as a volunteer into everyday life. Her charisma and resourcefulness make her an example for other volunteers.
Dalila BROCCULI, 25/10/2009, resident in Rimini - For the delicacy with which, through her commitment, she brings comfort and hope to the wards of the neonatal intensive care unit. His story instils courage and confidence in families facing moments of particular fragility.
Rocco Antonio COMMISSO, 22/4/2014, resident of Roccella Jonica (RC) - For his sensitivity in rescuing a specimen of Caretta caretta turtle, injured and trapped in plastic debris. His gesture has become a lever for the promotion of environmental education initiatives.
Francesco CORREALE, 18/12/2008, resident in Roccapiemonte (SA) - For the commitment and sense of solidarity with which he dealt with the immediate aftermath of the disastrous flooding of the Solofrana torrent. His work is proof of the resilience of communities living in fragile territories.
Riccardo CREMONESI, 1/7/2008, resident in San Martino Siccomario (PV) - For the promptness with which he saved the life of a comrade who was choking, by correctly practising first aid manoeuvres.
Mariasole DI BIASE, 27/5/2011, resident in Nichelino (TO) - For her social commitment as a volunteer, helping young people with Down's syndrome and demonstrating the importance of acting concretely for others.
Aurora DI VANNA, 25/1/2008, resident in Santa Domenica Talao (CS) - For the strength of her words, through which she has succeeded in giving voice to injustice and transforming a personal experience into social responsibility.
Salwa EZ-ZAHIRI, 24/6/2008, resident in Genoa - For having transformed the help received during a difficult period in her life into a concrete commitment to others. Her valuable work as a cultural mediator was first experienced within her family, then opened up in favour of other people.
Leonardo FIGELLO, 17/11/2008, resident of Turin - For his generosity in turning his Apecar into a solidarity vehicle. Thanks to his creativity and his spirit of initiative, he has shown that doing good can really be 'trendy'.
Gabriele GALAL, 5/12/2007, resident of Rome - For his ability to make his peers aware of the importance of sharing and volunteering, promoting solidarity actions towards those in difficulty.
Jasmeen KAUR, 1/6/2009, resident in Fabbrico (RE) - For having succeeded, through poetry, in interpreting and expressing the thoughts of young people of her age, creating spaces for introspection and confrontation.
Tommaso LAVECCHIA, 26/1/2011, resident in San Miniato (PI) - For the enthusiasm with which he shares his passion for astronomy, transforming the study of stars, planets and galaxies into a stimulating experience for his peers. An involvement that takes on an important educational value.
Angelica Maria MASELLA, 1/11/2010, resident of Minturno (LT) - For the maturity with which she promotes a culture of dialogue, respect and confrontation. His gestures reflect an idea of peace lived in the simplicity of everyday life.
Marco MAZZARIOL, 28/4/2011, resident in Carbonera (TV) - For the tenacity with which he has coped with illness since childhood. With his joie de vivre he turns difficulties into opportunities and bears witness to the inalienable value of the uniqueness of the person.
Viola MENICHETTI, 13/5/2008, resident in San Donato Milanese (MI) - For the promptness and courage with which she faced an emergency situation, in adverse weather conditions. Her determination was stronger than the obstacles and dangers: this is how she managed to save her father's life.
Matteo MORVILLO, 11/8/2007, resident of Massa Lubrense (NA) - For creating an original app aimed at reducing food waste. His friendship with Amedeo has become a creative force, capable of promoting environmental responsibility and in this way contributing to the common good.
Ludovico NATALIZI, 16/5/2007, resident in Marsciano (PG) - For the generosity and simplicity with which he dedicates his time to young children by helping them with their schoolwork. Her silent commitment is an opportunity for growth and mutual enrichment.
Karol PASTORE, 13/9/2007, resident of Ostuni (BR) - For the enthusiasm and determination with which he faces his difficulties and for the friendship he shares with Emanuele, with whom he shares the desire to live their age to the full.
Gioele PETRELLA, 26/8/2010, resident in Velletri (RM) - For demonstrating that even his guitar can become a powerful vehicle for inclusion. Every week he faces a long journey to reach the theatre, music and dance workshop attended by young people with disabilities.
Sara PIGNATELLI, 10/2/2007, resident in Castello d'Agogna (PV) - For the courage with which she faced her illness, choosing not to give up studying and continuing to pursue the goal of a diploma. With the strength of her dreams and will, she managed to overcome many difficulties, turning them into opportunities for growth.
Claudia SAVARINO, 10/5/2007, resident of Agira (EN) - For the curiosity and sensitivity with which she experiments with poetry, tackling themes of great depth and seeking to build a better society.
Nicolas TREPPO, 7/12/2013, resident in Tarcento (UD) - For the promptness with which he faced a situation of grave danger, rescuing a peer who was in danger of drowning in a torrent. Courage and generosity can make all the difference.
Inerio VACCA, 3/9/2010, resident of Arbus (VS) - For having promptly and lucidly rescued an unconscious friend after a dive into the sea. The high sense of civic duty shown in the circumstance testifies to a profound respect for life and a rootedness in the values of solidarity.

Emilia ZARRONE, 25/5/2012, resident of Alife (CE) - For having shown, from an early age, great sensitivity and empathy towards a classmate with autism spectrum disorder. The sweetness of their friendship was also recounted in a book written by the classmate himself.
Serena ZULLO, 19/5/2009, resident of Lauria (PZ) - For her voluntary work in favour of her community and the area in which she lives. For the energy and passion with which she promotes the culture of giving, contributing to civil and social growth.
