Milan, 23 July 2026 – The second quarter of 2026 confirms Radio 24’s position within the Italian radio landscape. With over 2.5 million listeners on an average day, the Il Sole 24 ORE Group’s station continues to be a benchmark for a discerning and loyal audience, thanks to editorial content based on authority, in-depth analysis and high-quality information.
Against a backdrop of generally challenging conditions for the radio market, Radio 24 reaffirms its distinctive identity as the only national News & Talk station, consolidating the relationship of trust built up over the years with listeners who are particularly interested in economic, political, social and cultural current affairs. At the same time, the development of the digital and social media strategy continues, further expanding the radio’s community and strengthening the dialogue with an increasingly diverse and engaged audience: Radio 24’s followers have risen to over 3 million, representing a 24 per cent increase compared with the same period last year.
Excellent results were also achieved in the digital sphere, with the Radio 24 4.0 platform cementing its success, recording a 31 per cent increase in unique browsers and a 13 per cent rise in page views compared with the previous quarter.
The brand’s multi-platform development strategy is also reflected in its podcast offering, which represents one of the most significant assets within Radio 24’s editorial ecosystem. Indeed, the production of Radio 24’s Original Podcasts continues at a rapid pace: between April and June 2026, 10 new titles were released, including new seasons of established podcasts such as Materie, Animale a chi? and Le Grandi Voci del Festival dell’Economia. In total, over 140 new episodes have been made available, accessible on the Radio 24 – 4.0 platform and on the main streaming platforms. On-demand content continues to play a key role in expanding the relationship with the audience, which now averages 9 million listens per month.
Finally, synergies with the other media outlets of the Il Sole 24 ORE Group are being strengthened, as part of an increasingly integrated approach that capitalises on the complementary nature of radio, digital, podcasts, events and television. In this context, IlSole24OreTV is taking on an increasingly central role, following its recent launch on channel 63 of digital terrestrial television and the ongoing broadcast of Radio 24 programmes, which are gaining a further opportunity for wider reach and promotion. An increasingly interconnected ecosystem that strengthens the overall news offering and opportunities for engagement with the public.
