The multinational employment services company Randstad ended 2024 with very positive numbers: turnover exceeded 2.2 billion euros, thanks in part to the 192,444 employment contracts that were activated during the year. Moreover, Randstad manages around 55,500 temporary workers per week, of which 28,894 have permanent contracts and provides training courses for a total of 294,084 hours. To this should be added the 20,491 people who have been hired by companies through the Randstad search and selection service and the 10,000 students who have benefited from work orientation activities in schools throughout Italy.

The company has a network of 280 branches and 3,478 direct employees, including 642 new hires in 2024, who receive 83,500 hours of training to constantly update their skills. In the internal organisation, 55% of senior management roles are held by women, with a return-to-work rate after parental leave of 94.5%. The UNI PdR 125:2022 certification on gender equality, achieved in 2023, guides organisational choices and policies for the growth and well-being of people. Among the various projects continues the 'Randstad Grow Up', which has provided 547,000 euros to 469 new parents: 1,000 euros per year of contribution to each employee who has a child (up to the age of six). While 'Baby Randstad' disbursed EUR 582,000 in daycare contributions (EUR 250 per month) to mothers or fathers. "While the global debate on sustainability goes through phases of uncertainty, we look ahead: our goal remains to be the most equitable and specialised talent company in the world," says Marco Ceresa, CEO of Randstad Group Italia. "We believe that sustainability is a guiding principle, to be built over time, through consistent behaviour, daily choices and courageous investments. With this in mind, we continue to put people, their potential and wellbeing at the centre in a context of increasing talent shortage and radical transformation of the labour market in which expectations change, technologies evolve and inequalities become more acute'.

In 2024, the commitment to social integration also continued with Without Borders, the project for the job placement of migrants and refugees, which during the year involved 1,469 migrants and refugees in training courses, as well as the partnership at the Milan Cortina 2026 Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games. 2024 was also the year of the launch of the Randstad AI & Humanities Foundation to explore the intersection of the humanities and artificial intelligence.
