More than 62 million euro of planned investments over the three-year period, to contribute to the economy of the entire region.

This was decided by the consortium assembly of the Carnia Industrial Park, which at the end of September unanimously approved the 2025-2027 Business Plan, the first prepared by the new Board of Directors, appointed last June.

President Gabriele Bano and Director Danilo Farinelli illustrated to the members the interventions already underway or already contracted amounting to EUR 25.6 million, with an expected expenditure of about EUR 19 million already by the end of 2025. New projects, on the other hand, are quantified at EUR 36.6 million. Among the construction sites nearing completion is the renovation of the building in Villa Santina called Botteghe Artigiane della Carnia and the new pole for SMEs in Tolmezzo Artesans (estimated end of works in March 2025 - investment EUR 5.5 million), created by the demolition of the former Chimica Carnica, consisting of five production units, two of which are still available.

The renovation and energy efficiency work of the Amaro Technology Park (estimated completion in May 2025 - investment of over EUR 7 million) will allow a radical transformation of the building in favour of new technology company settlements. The modernisation and energy efficiency of the building complex called AC3 (former Mobiam) in Ampezzo is also scheduled to be completed by November 2025, following the signing of the agreement with the municipal administration, which allowed access to the regional contribution line for EUR 3.4 million.

'An Industrial Plan 2025-2027 in full continuity with the strategic guidelines of previous years: the aim is to create a territorial system for the development of the manufacturing sector through policies for innovation and favouring the integration between companies, institutions, research and training systems, to consolidate the attractiveness and competitiveness of the Industrial Park and the entire territory,' reads the approval report.

Among the new works planned, some are related to regional industrial policy macro-projects: These include the creation of a Renewable Energy Community within the framework of the regional project for the Ecologically Equipped Production Areas (Apea), with an estimated investment of EUR 1.5 million; further work on disused sites in Tolmezzo, Amaro and Villa Santina, with an estimated investment of over EUR 16 million; the construction of a geothermal network plant in the expansion area of the Amaro industrial zone, with an estimated investment of EUR 1.2 million; work on new roads and urbanisation, estimated at EUR 4 million over the three-year period.

As far as the municipality of Resia is concerned, thanks to a special agreement, a new allotment will be created and a modular building will be erected in the craft area.

But 'the datum that perhaps more than any other testifies to the vitality and planning ferment of the Consortium is represented by the number of feasibility studies underway and those already planned for 2025,' explains a note linked to the industrial plan. A figure that is reminiscent of that of investments in research and development by companies. There are no less than 19 feasibility studies, 11 of which are underway or nearing completion, with the hope that they will soon be transformed into new works, new activities and new services'.

President Gabriele Bano said he was satisfied with the planning work, which gathered the contribution of the municipal administrations and the employers', industrial and craft associations, and emphasised the Consortium's renewed and increasingly concrete role: "Not only a facilitator of the 'industrial' development of the area, but also and above all a promoter of a mountain ecosystem, capable of driving the economy of the entire territory. The transformation of disused sites into modern infrastructures at the service of manufacturing and craft enterprises, support for technology transfer, investments in renewable energies and the circular economy, the creation of an Its specialised higher education pole, the study of new residential models, and attention to corporate welfare policies and the health and wellbeing of workers and citizens: these are some of the projects that give depth to the Industrial Plan approved by the Members and new enthusiasm for the challenges that await us".
