The Renault group has a new CEO, following the move of Luca de Meo to the helm of Kering. His name is François Provost and he is a long-standing manager within the French car manufacturer.
The Renault Group Board of Directors, which met today under the chairmanship of Jean-Dominique Senard, decided on an internal figure who is well acquainted with the dynamics of a complex company like Renault, which also controls the Alpine and especially Dacia brands.
Having joined Renault in 2002, Provost has held positions of great responsibility. These include the position of Renault-Nissan general manager for Portugal (since 2005), but he was also vice-president for strategy and planning and above all ceo of Renault Samsung Motors in South Korea (2011-2016). In addition, he has led international development and partnerships since 2020 and also seems to be a manager capable of leading the group towards new global agreements.
François Provost will be in office as of 31 July.
