Renault Group, sales up 3.2% in 2025. Dacia on the rise
French group reports rising sales results. electrics grow
Renault Group ended 2025 with 2,336,807 vehicles sold worldwide, representing a growth of 3.2% on a global market that finished at +1.6%.
The French group points out how its three brands outperformed the market with Renault closing at 1,628,030 vehicles (+3.2%), Dacia: 697,408 units (+3.1%) and - thanks to its new electric models - Alpine surpassing the 10,000-vehicle mark for the first time (10,970 vehicles), i.e. more than double last year's (+139.2%).
The Group finished on the podium in Europe with 1,607,848 units sold and +5.9%, more than double the market growth (+2.3%). On the positive side, the Group points out that commercial vehicle sales are showing signs of gradual recovery in 2025, with the second half of the year at -10.6% compared to the first half at -29.6%. On international markets, the Renault brand saw an 11.7% increase in sales, thanks to strong growth in its main markets: Latin America (+11.3%), South Korea (+55.9%) and Morocco (+44.8%). For 2026, the Group confirms its intention to pursue a value-oriented commercial policy, as evidenced by the fact that sales to private individuals account for about 60% of total sales in the top five European countries, while the average price level is rising with sales in segments C and above accounting for 31.1% of the Group's passenger car sales in Europe. On the electrification front, the Group continued its offensive in Europe, with about 400,000 hybrid vehicles (+35.1%) and about 194,000 electric vehicles sold (+76.7%). Dacia's result stands out in this respect, with over 113,000 hybrid vehicles sold in the year, up 121.7% compared to 2024. This year the range of thermal and electric vehicles in Europe will see the launch of the New Renault Clio, Renault Twingo E-Tech Electric, a new electric model from Dacia in the A-segment, a new Dacia hybrid and thermal in the C-segment and the Alpine A390.
