Stable sales for the Renault Group in the first six months of the year. In contrast to the share price, which fell from over EUR 50 per share in February to just over EUR 30, and which also fell following the news of CEO Luca De Meo's departure, sales from January to June brought a breath of optimism for the French group. Worldwide, Renault Group recorded a slight increase of +1.3% over 2024, selling 1,169,773 vehicles. In Europe, on a passenger car market down 1.0%, an increase of 5.4% was recorded to 708,106 registered vehicles. Negative numbers, on the other hand, for the Renault brand in Europe, starting with commercial vehicles, which recorded a 29% drop in the first half of 2025, against a market decline of 13%. Despite a -3.7%, between passenger cars and commercial vehicles, Renault climbed a notch in Europe to second place thanks to 394,278 cars (+8.4%) with a market share of 6.7% and positioning the Clio as the best-selling car. As recently announced, Renault ended the first half of 2025 with sales up 2.5% to EUR 27.6 billion. The French carmaker now expects an operating margin of around 6.5 per cent of sales for the full year 2025, compared to the previously predicted 7 per cent free cash-flow of between EUR 1.0 billion and EUR 1.5 billion, compared to the previous over EUR 2 billion.

Renault, sales +2.7%

Renault recorded 2.7% growth in global sales over the first half of 2024, with 808,413 vehicles sold worldwide. Outside Europe, the La Lausanne brand led by new interim CEO Duncan Minto grew 16.3% year-on-year in the first half of 2024, in a market that grew 4.7%. In Latin America: sales up 24%. In Brazil, sales increased by 8.8% and in Argentina by 96.7%. Renault ranks first in Colombia, with a market share of 14.6%. In Morocco: sales up 48%. In South Korea: sales up 150%. Renault continues to pursue its electrification strategy with two motorisation offerings. Electric vehicle sales are up 57% (with numbers still far from previous estimates) on a European market that is up 23%, thanks in particular to Renault 5 E-Tech Electric, the best-selling B-segment electric vehicle in Europe, with some 49,000 units sold since launch. Renault reconfirmed its second place in the European hybrid market with growth of around 36% and with Full Hybrid E-Tech technology now accounting for over 41% of Renault's passenger car sales. In segments C and above, which account for 40.1% of the sales mix in the first half of 2025 (+0.4 points), but above all in the C-suv and D-suv segments in the first six months there was +52% compared to the first half of 2024.

Dacia, slight drop globally

In H1 2025, Dacia's global sales of 356,084 units were slightly down on H1 2024 (-0.7%), as Duster is now sold as a Renault brand in Turkey. It retains, however, a passenger car + commercial vehicle market share of 4.1%. In Europe, in the passenger car market, Dacia's sales increased by 1.1% to 308,957 registrations and a market share of 4.5% (up 0.1 points). The Romanian brand confirmed its 9th position in the passenger car market and 10th position in the passenger car + commercial vehicle market. On the electrification front, Dacia recorded 23.9% of registrations with electrified engines in the first half of 2025, an increase of 14.7 points compared to the first half of 2024. Hybrid vehicles accounted for 17.6% of sales, up 12.1 points, mainly due to the success of the Duster hybrid version. Spring sales of 19,452 vehicles grew by 71%, bringing the share of electric vehicles to 6.3% of Dacia's total sales (+2.6 points compared to H1 2024). With 151,948 vehicles sold worldwide in H1 2025, Dacia Sandero remains the best-selling model in Europe this year (passenger cars) across all channels. Sandero is the best-selling car sold to private individuals in Europe since 2017. With 108,510 units sold worldwide, Dacia Duster is still the top SUV sold to private individuals in Europe. The third generation Duster has recorded around 200,000 orders since its launch a year ago.

Alpine, 5000 registrations exceeded

Alpine continues to grow in the first half of 2025 with 5,015 registrations, or +85% compared to the first half of 2024. The growth is linked to the 3,699 A290 sold, derived from the Renault 5 E-tech. The compact electric car was joined by 1,181 A110s registered, the only thermal model produced by the Dieppe-based brand. The number of 200 Alpine Stores is confirmed by the end of 2025, where the new electric A390 will also be sold.
