Report: Giulia Presutti to Corsini: ‘I’m taking a step back’
The meeting between the Corsini family and members of the editorial team has reignited hopes that a solution can be found to prevent the correspondents from leaving and the programme – which is due to start on 8 November on Rai3 – from being postponed
In an email sent to Paolo Corsini, editor of Rai’s *Approfondimento* programme, Giulia Presutti announces she is ‘stepping back’ from her role as co-presenter of *Report*, ‘in the hope,’ the journalist writes, according to ANSA, ‘that this will help the programme that shaped me and to which I have had the honour of contributing. A programme so beloved, which has given so much to the public and to our organisation, cannot get bogged down in such petty discussions and squabbles, nor do I believe that its future can be tied to individual names and personalities’.
“As far as I’m concerned, dear editor,” concludes Presutti, “I am at the disposal of the company that has given me so much and to which I intend to devote my full commitment with passion.”
