Change at the helm for the San Marino Outlet Experience. The management of the outlet, developed by the Borletti Group, Hines and VLG Capital, has been entrusted to a new operator in order to turn the centre's development and consolidation strategy around.
Taking over the lead is Promos, one of Italy's leading players in the management of Factory Outlet Centres (Foc), with a portfolio of 7 outlets, 850 shops and more than 180,000 square metres of Gla under management, which with this transaction achieves a market share close to 30 per cent.
The new partnership envisages integrated asset management: leasing, marketing, property and facility management, as well as the definition of a multi-year plan for commercial expansion, improvement of the customer experience and the introduction of initiatives related to sustainability and tourist accommodation.
Covering an area of 17,000 square metres and designed by One Works, the centre, due to open in 2021, will house more than 80 points of sale and feature minimalist and modern architecture, with amenities such as exclusive lounges and electric vehicle charging stations.
"We are delighted to undertake this collaboration with the promoters of the San Marino Outlet Experience," said the CEO of Promos, Filippo Maffioli. "Our goal is to support the development of the centre by enhancing the tourist and commercial potential of the area, through a management plan that combines innovation, sustainability and customer focus, and a development project that, over the next few years, will also include expansion and diversification of the offer, in line with the growth of the destination and the evolution of the market.
