Reverend Moon’s widow convicted of corruption

Han Hak-ja, widow of Reverend Moon and leader of the Unification Church, has been found guilty of breaching the law on political funding and corruption in South Korea, for alleged attempts to gain influence within the administration of former President Yoon Suk Yeol. The Seoul District Court has sentenced her to two years’ imprisonment. The 83-year-old woman was arrested a year ago.
