An industrial path of success
RHOSS SpA, an Italian company with over 50 years of history and from 2019 part of the Swedish NIBE group, world leader in the residential heat pump sector, represents "proof that," comments Maurizio Marchesini, "the transition towards true ecological transition is possible and successful".
Founded in 1968 as a manufacturer of gas boilers, Rhoss was a leading player in the heating market until 2000, when it began a conversion to the production of HVAC and air treatment systems. Initially concentrating on the production of air conditioning units for cooling, RHOSS later dedicated itself also to the production of heat pumps for heating, establishing itself as one of the main European players with over 70% of production destined for heat pumps.
With a R&D laboratory of 1,000 sqm, 50.000 square metres of production facilities located in Codroipo (UD) and over 450 employees, RHOSS has succeeded in establishing itself in the HVAC world, reaching a turnover of over 104 million euros (2025 figures) and high profitability, offering a well-structured product portfolio that includes heat pumps, chillers, EXP multi-purpose systems, fan coils and air handling units; solutions for both new builds and upgrades, with configurations designed to adapt to different system contexts.

The RHOSS offer is based on a vision of an HVAC system that integrates units for air conditioning (heating & cooling), air handling units and ventilating convectors, to ensure comfort and well-being in indoor environments. An approach based on consolidated technical skills, application knowledge and the continuous development of innovative technologies, designed to meet the real needs of the market and plant design.
The company designs and manufactures heating and cooling units for residential, commercial and industrial buildings, covering a range of power ratings from 5 to 2.000 kW as well as tailor-made solutions of air handling units designed to meet the requirements of buildings where indoor air control is a central factor: healthcare, education, hospitality, office and industrial facilities. The solutions integrate filtration, energy recovery and thermo-hygrometric control systems that can be configured according to the needs of the project, contributing to controlled room management.
Each product is optimised to perform a specific function, contributing to an ideal balance between performance, consumption and usage requirements. The design is based on an approach geared towards the use of natural and low-GWP rrefrigerants and on solutions developed to guarantee high seasonal performance under defined operating conditions, in full compliance with reference standards.
