Ricca IT accelerates growth with Alessandro de Bartolo joining the Board of Directors and new expansion strategies
After a 2025 of record results, Ricca IT strengthens governance with de Bartolo, focusing on AI, cybersecurity and openings in Northern Italia
Ricca IT announces the addition of Alessandro de Bartolo to its Board of Directors, as part of a plan to expand the Ragusa-based company's presence in the Italian ICT market. Presented on 10 February at the Ricca Innovation Center, headquarters in Ragusa, on the occasion of the annual kick-off that brings together all the Italian subsidiaries, de Bartolo has already taken on the operational role of General Manager in support of the entire Ricca IT sales area.
This choice marks a further step in the growth path of the Sicilian company, a leader in the ICT sector. De Bartolo joins the company led by Stefano Ricca, convinced that it is a reality in which to bet enthusiastically and with great margins for development in the near future.
The news comes after the final closure of the financial statements for a 2025 that saw Ricca IT acquire new premises in Catania, in the I Portali business park, and in Bari, after launching a share capital increase from EUR 2.5m to EUR 5m. These are the choices for the allocation of accrued company profits, thus guaranteeing constant growth.
At the end of the year, the company presented a turnover of more than EUR 63 million (more than doubled compared to 2024), consolidating the path started in the Elite group of Borsa Italiana. In the face of numbers with which Ricca IT is now poised to position itself as the leading Sicilian company in terms of volume in the ICT sector,' the company wrote in a note, 'de Bartolo's entry into the company's Board of Directors demonstrates the operational expansion of the units dedicated to the development of Artificial Intelligence (the newly launched Corporate AI Arianna) and Cybersecurity. The move is accompanied by new hires and the announcement of the planned opening of a new branch in Northern Italia, in Lombardy.
Alessandro de Bartolo, after studying electronics and computer science, joined IBM as a Customer Engineer for the Finance market and subsequently held various positions of increasing local and international responsibility.
