From traffic fines to vehicle tax, from vehicle tax to IMU and TARI. CAFs are stepping in to handle applications for the ‘Rottamazione Quinquies’ scheme covering tax liabilities owed to just under 1,500 local authorities, ahead of the application window running from 16 October to 15 December. This was announced in a press release from the Council of Tax Assistance Centres: the network is ready to assist taxpayers at every stage of the procedure, thanks to a collaborative initiative launched in recent months with the Revenue Agency’s Collection Department (Ader).
Training to assist taxpayers
As the statement explains, ‘to ensure high-quality support across the whole country, the National Council of CAFs has involved its 42 member CAFs in a dedicated training programme, organised in collaboration with Ader’. This initiative ‘comprising four training sessions, involved 112 staff members, who, in turn, will train all staff in the relevant regions’.
Support
Over the next two months, in addition to the assistance provided by Ader, citizens will be able to visit CAF offices to check their debt status, receive help in calculating the amounts due and completing the application form, and be supported right through to the completion of the payment plan, the first instalment of which is due on 31 March 2027. Thanks to the training provided, staff will be able to use the online services available on the Ader website for procedures relating to the ‘rottamazione quinquies’ scheme for local authorities.
