The prosecutors, coordinated by chief prosecutor Francesco Lo Voi, contest the violation of the Mancino and Scelba laws.

Digos investigations

.

That commemoration for the investigators reflected 'the liturgy of the usual gatherings of the dissolved fascist party'. The Supreme Court ruling

.

The conclusion of the investigation, which dates back to last December, came a few months after the ruling of the unified sections of the Supreme Court of Cassation called to intervene on the Roman salute. The Supreme Judges in their motivations crystallised the legal aspect of the conduct contested against the militants. In order to establish the existence of an offence, in the case of the Roman salute, the Supreme Court observed, the judge must 'in concrete terms' and in the light of overall evaluations, ascertain 'the existence' of a series of elements, including 'the environmental context, the possible symbolic value of the place, the number of participants, the insistent repetition of the gestures', suitable to give concreteness to the danger of 'emulation'.

The massacre of Acca Larentia

The Acca Larenzia massacre is the journalistic name of the politically motivated multiple murder that took place in Rome on 7 January 1978 by an armed group belonging to the extreme left, in which two young people belonging to the extreme right-wing movement Fronte della Gioventù were assassinated in front of the headquarters of the Movimento Sociale Italiano in Via Acca Larenzia, in the Tuscolano district. Closely linked to these events is the death of a third militant killed a few hours later in clashes with the police during a protest demonstration organised at the site.
