The position of Vasile Frumuzache, confessed perpetrator of the murders of the Romanian escorts Ana Maria Andrei, 27, and Denisa Maria Adas, 30, now oscillates between that of a lone serial killer and that of a hitman, executor of death sentences on behalf of a gang that wants to control the prostitution racket.
It is all to be established, to be verified, but the investigation by the Prato public prosecutor's office faces a new phase, while keeping the confessions of Vasile Frumuzache and remaining mainly focused on the risk of being faced with a maniacal serial killer rather than a gang murderer.
Gaps and inconsistencies in his version of events forced investigators to carefully define the profile and role of the 32-year-old security guard.
A phone call lasting a good 40 minutes that Frumuzache made in the area of the Prato residence on the night of Denisa's murder is under scrutiny. The Tgr Rai della Toscana reports on it: it is not known who he spoke to, he used a phone he had available, which was then seized.
The circumstance supports the investigators' belief that Frumuzache acted with the support of accomplices.
