Rome, bomb scares at Fdi headquarters and Palazzo Grazioli

After the bomb scare at the Lega Nord headquarters in Milan, two more reports arrive, this time in Rome. The first in the Fratelli d'Italia headquarters in Via della Scrofa. The second, shortly afterwards, at Palazzo Grazioli, where the Foreign Press is located.

In Via della Scrofa, agents monitored, together with molecular dogs, the offices of the An Foundation and the editorial office of the newspaper Secolo d'Italia, which is located in the same building. The premises were evacuated and during the operations, Via della Scrofa and Vicolo della Vaccarella were closed. Operations lasted approximately half an hour and were successful.

There was also an alarm at Palazzo Grazioli, Silvio Berlusconi's former Roman residence where the foreign press office is currently located. The Carabinieri arrived on the scene with the bomb squad and the canine unit for inspections. The building was evacuated as a precautionary measure. An anonymous phone call to the Nue 112 reported the presence of an explosive device.

Last week, the call had come in about a bomb in the Milan headquarters of the League, in Via Bellerio. It was the intervention of the bomb squad, after the evacuation of the building, that confirmed the negative outcome.
