It will remain open but will change its face after 60 years for a design restyling at the Rome Cavalieri, a Waldorf Astoria Hotel. The start of the restyling and renewal of the interior decoration of the rooms comes after the renovation of the hotel's signature restaurant, Heinz Beck's La Pergola, completed in 2024.
The project focuses on maintaining the balance between past and present, marrying a modern, bright design.
"Rome Cavalieri has long been an icon of luxury hospitality in Rome, and we are thrilled to witness this new phase in its evolution. This major investment reinforces our long-term commitment to Italia and ensures that the hotel continues to set the standard for luxury hospitality in the Eternal City," says Katharina Schlaipfer, Vice President of Continental European Operations at Hilton.
"Our aim is to pay homage to the hotel's extraordinary heritage while reinterpreting its spaces in a contemporary way, enhancing comfort, elegance and functionality," says William Fisher, General Manager of the Rome Cavalieri.
The project bears the signature of Tihany Design studio. With an outstanding portfolio, the studio has to its credit interior design projects for hotels, cruise ships and restaurants in some of the world's most iconic properties - including The Breakers in Palm Beach, Daniel by Daniel Boulud and Per Se by Thomas Keller -. The team of designers and architects under the guidance and artistic direction of Alessia Genova developed the new hotel concept.
