Roncadin – a group based in Meduno (Pordenone) specialising in the production of high-quality Italian pizza for the national and international retail sector – is preparing for the next phase of its growth with a three-year plan aimed at achieving €500 million in turnover.
With an investment of 80 million euros, the company aims to expand its business in the production of pizzas and savoury bakery products – both frozen and chilled – for the international retail sector and the out-of-home market.
Roncadin forecasts consolidated group turnover of around 300 million euros for 2026, the highest figure in the company’s history. Over 85 per cent of revenue is generated abroad, with the US market now accounting for 30 per cent of the group’s total turnover; the group currently employs over 1,250 people worldwide.
Thomas Schulz joins the Roncadin Board
Thomas Schulz, former Chief Sales Officer (CSO) and member of the Executive Board of the Freiberger Group, has been Senior Commercial Advisor to the Roncadin Group since 1 October 2026. Drawing on his international experience, he will support the sales organisation and management in achieving the strategic growth target of €500 million in turnover. “The growth of recent years,” comments CEO Dario Roncadin, “has brought us extraordinary results and significant challenges, whilst also entailing the responsibility to strengthen our processes, production capacity, sales organisation and governance. Thomas Schulz brings to Roncadin in-depth knowledge of international markets, solid experience in the private-label pizza sector and a valuable perspective for the next phase.”
By the end of 2026 in Meduno (Pordenone), the group’s main hub where frozen pizzas are produced for the private labels of large retailers, construction will be completed on a new production line covering an area of 4,500 square metres connected to the existing plant, which will bring production capacity to 140 million pizzas per year. Production is scheduled to start in the first quarter of 2027, with full capacity expected in April 2027. Furthermore, a second production line is planned for the early months of 2028, which will increase capacity to 160 million pizzas per year. The estimated number of jobs once the expansion is fully operational is around 200 new positions.
