"Dear colleagues, today is my last day of work with you. Over the past few years, together we have carried out a process of modernisation and renewal of the two Agencies'. So begins the letter of Ernesto Maria Ruffini to the employees of the Revenue Agency and the Revenue-Reception Agency of which he was director from 31 January 2020 until today.
"The strong impetus to digitisation, the hiring of thousands of employees and hundreds of managers have enabled us to increase the capacity to recover tax evasion and, at the same time, to provide new services to citizens," emphasises Ruffini. The results achieved are clearly the fruit of your commitment and self-sacrifice. As I leave this post, therefore, I would like to express my personal appreciation to you, with the emotion and pride of having been able to serve my country
